Nancy Lever, Director of Training and Outreach

Nancy Lever, Director of Outreach and DisseminatioNancy Lever completed her undergraduate training at Dartmouth College and her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Temple University. After finishing an internship at the University of Maryland Medical System, Nancy stayed on at the University to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in the School Mental Health Program (SMHP).  In 1998 she joined the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as an Assistant Professor.  Within the Division, she has been very active in promoting training related to school mental health and has coordinated training experiences for psychology interns, psychiatry fellows, and postdoctoral fellows.  She is serving as the Associate Director of the VA/University of Maryland Psychology Internship and is the Co-Director of the SMHP.  Nancy joined the Center for School Mental Health in 1996 as a Consultant.  Nancy is the Director of Training and Outreach and co-chairs the program committee for the national conference, helps to support the facilitators of the National Community of Practice on School Mental Health, and represents the CSMH on local, state, and national committees related to school mental health.  She has presented and written extensively about school mental health and is co-editor along with Mark Weist and Steve Evans of the Handbook of School Mental Health. Nancy and her husband Paul are proud parents to their sons Jonah and Sam.
