The CSMH is involved in a number of initiatives and projects at the local, state, and national levels. Below are some of the current projects that we are working on: • The School Mental Health Connection The School Mental Health Connection (SchoolMentalHealth.org) is a website created and maintained by the Center for School Mental Health. the site is designed to provide clinicans, educators, families, students, and anyone else interested in school-based mental health with related information and resources. • Calverton Elementary/Middle School Mental Health Initiative The Calverton School Mental Health Initiative focuses on providing a full continuum of mental health serices at the elementary/middle school. In addition to providing individual, group, and family therapy, our staff organizes a program called 1100 Peace, which includes peer mediation, "Making It Right" groups, and schoolwide climate-enhancement activities. • Excellence in School Mental Health Initiative • Johns Hopkins University Center for Prevention and Early Intervention • Prince George's County School Mental Health Initiative This partnership between the CSMH, the Maryland State Department of Education, and PG County Public Schools is geared toward helping students with significant emotional and behavioral problems and enhancing staff competency. • Anne Arundel School Mental Health Initiative Operating in four school in Anne Arundel County, this initiative is geared towards developing and providing evidence-based programs and mental health services to youth who have emotional disabilities and are "at risk". • School Mental Health and Foster Care • Center for Adolescent Research in Schools Project • Telemental Health in Schools |
