The CSMH offers training at all levels (baccalaureate to post-doctoral) in psychology. In collaboration with the University of Maryland SMHP, and the Veteran's Administration of Baltimore, we offer an accredited (American Psychological Association) pre-doctoral internship program for clinical and school psychologists. We offer pre-masters training for social work students and fellowship training for child and adolescent psychiatrists. Predoctoral Psychology Internship - The VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland School of Medicine Psychology Internship Consortium offers a school mental health track through the Center for School Mental Health and School Mental Health Program. The Consortium is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. The next site visit will be during the academic year 2016. As an internship training program recognized by the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, we are committed to advancing a scientist-practitioner model of training. We are particularly interested in applicants from graduate programs that place an equally strong emphasis on a sound foundation in scientific psychology and broad clinical training. In 2010, the school mental health track was awarded the American Psychological Association Distinguished Contributions for the Education and Training of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Psychologists Award.
