As you may know, the Center for School Mental Health (CSMH) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in collaboration with the Clifford Beers Foundation in England has launched the new journal, Advances in School Mental Health Promotion. The journal “aims to promote global dialogue, collaboration and action toward the advancement of training, practice, research and policy in school mental health promotion.” Free downloadable versions of the inaugural issue are available on the journal’s website, www.schoolmentalhealth.co.uk. The journal is being operated as a not-for-profit joint venture between the Clifford Beers Foundation and the CSMH, with funding supporting global training on mental health promotion. All individuals who subscribe to the journal will receive reduced registration fees to the 13th Annual Conference on Advancing School Mental Health, organized by the CSMH and the IDEA Partnership (www.ideapartnership.org). As you register for the conference at http://csmh.umaryland.edu, please be sure that you are including a copy of your email confirmation from Clifford Beers confirming your subscription and the reduced fee will apply. We appreciate your ongoing support of the conference and consideration of supporting the new journal. |
