Catharine Weiss

Catharine L. A. Weiss is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Before joining the faculty, Dr. Weiss completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Center for School Mental Health. She now supervises clinicians and provides school-based mental health services in Baltimore City public schools. For the last several years, she has developed and led efforts to implement conflict resolution programming in area schools, incorporating peer mediation and the infusion of social/emotional learning in the curriculum. Dr. Weiss delivers direct intervention and prevention services across a range of settings, including providing collaborative care for children, families, and adults in a neighborhood primary care clinic. She is also Director of the Maryland Psychological Assessment and Consultation Clinic which offers consultation services and psychological testing for children and youth.
