Elizabeth V. Freeman, Senior SMH Consultant, is a licensed clinical social worker. Ms. Freeman is employed by the American Institutes for Research and provides technical assistance to the field at learge and grantees (national, state, and community) in partnership with the National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention. Ms. Freeman brings extensive experience in using a public health/cross-systems approach in her work with state and community leaders. She consults and provides TA in the areas of building capacity and collaborations to support prevention, early intervention, and intervention/treatment programs, and to integrate successful programs/activities into systems' policy and procedures for schools, community agencies, and state policy. Ms. Freeman has provided consultation to numerous SS/HS grantees and the field at large, specifically on their state Medicaid systems and strategies to assist communities to build systems to support school mental health programs.
